Elvis: The Entertainer will debut new updates just in time for Elvis’ Birthday Celebration. In honor of the 70th anniversary of 1956, fans can explore a new section dedicated to this landmark year in Elvis’ life and career. In addition, in anticipation of the upcoming release of Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC, a newly updated section of Elvis: The Entertainer will spotlight items from the Graceland Archives that you will see in the film. Angie Marchese, the VP of Graceland Archives and Exhibits, will also be on hand to discuss the new additions and meet with Founders.

Step into the legendary Jungle Room for an unforgettable evening with Jerry Schilling. ELVIS BIRTHDAY PROCLAMATION CEREMONY

8:30 am. North Lawn, Graceland Mansion. Free to attend.
Elvis' Birthday Celebration officially kicks off with our annual proclamation ceremony on the front lawn of Graceland. Featuring a larger-than-life birthday cake to honor the King of Rock 'n' Roll, the proclamation of Elvis Presley Day is read by Memphis and Shelby County officials. Fans who are unable to attend can watch the ceremony online for free via Graceland's Vimeo page.

Hosted by Tom Brown, Conversations on Elvis offers an intimate and heartfelt celebration of Elvis’ life from close friends, band members, back-up singers, authors, and more. Confirmed guests include Jerry Schilling, TCB Band bassist Jerry Scheff, Elvis’ Imperials Terry Blackwood and Jim Murray, former Stamps member Larry Strickland, and Tony Brown, who was the keyboard player for Voice and played piano as a member of the TCB Band in 1976-1977. In addition, we are excited to add Jonathan Redmond, editor of EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert - who will share more about what it was like to work on the film, explore the footage, and take you behind-the-scenes.

Graceland is excited to announce that we will be hosting the first advanced U.S. screenings of Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert on January 8. What an amazing way to celebrate the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s birthday! From Sony Music Vision, Bazmark, Authentic Studios and NEON, EPiC features long-lost footage from Presley’s legendary Las Vegas residency in the 1970s, woven together with rare 16mm footage from Elvis on Tour, and precious 8mm from the Graceland archive, plus recordings of Elvis telling “his side of the story” rediscovered during Luhrmann’s research for his Best Picture Oscar-nominated 2022 film Elvis.

1956 was a landmark year for Elvis Presley - it was the year he became a superstar and the lightning rod for the controversy of early rock 'n' roll. The year included the release of Elvis' first RCA single, first television appearances, first movie, and other career milestones. Elvis 1956 will celebrate these pivotal moments through live music, Elvis performances on the big screen, and conversations on the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s early days. PRESLEY FOR A DAY TOURS

$6,000 for up to 4 people. Two tours available daily. 
The Presley for a Day Tour is limited to only 8 guests per day and provides access to some of the Presley family’s most beloved places on the Graceland grounds for the first time since it opened to the public. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy the family’s favorite activities with golf cart rides around the grounds, a horse photo op and guided walk through the home’s front pasture, and a high-end dinner at the newly renovated Moriah’s House, which offers stunning views of Graceland's landscape from the back pasture.
